Pathcore is a Toronto-based software company specializing in digital pathology image management and workflow solutions. The company develops leading enterprise grade software for managing digital pathology data which supports cancer informatics and healthcare IT. We are located in downtown Toronto, steps away from Queen’s Park metro station and the MaRS discovery district.

About the Position

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual to assist a rapidly growing company and team. You will be responsible for our recruitment efforts and assist hiring teams with the full cycle recruitment process. You will also proactively build a strong tech talent pipeline while helping with the needs of current staff. In this role you’ll find yourself working across various HR projects while having an opportunity to develop recommendations that directly impact employment practises. As necessary and depending on your capability, you may be asked to contribute to developing corporate policies and conducting presentations in support of the organization’s initiatives globally. Great communication, time management and social skills are essential as you will be responsible for promoting the company and corporate culture.


  • Coordinate with team leads to forecast goals and hiring needs
  • Develop and advertise accurate job descriptions to attract qualified candidates
  • Source potential candidates on niche platforms to proactively and continually develop a strong talent pipeline
  • Assist in recruitment process by managing job postings and identifying top tier candidates by screening resumes, cover letters and conducting initial phone interviews
  • Conduct reference checks and background screening
  • Develop and promote company brand on various platforms
  • Organize social events for the team
  • Assist with various HR projects, programs, initiatives, and other assigned duties
  • Organize social events for the team
  • Participate in tech conferences, events and meetups to network with IT professionals

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and people focused mindset
  • Above average digital literacy (social media, online advertising, information gathering)
  • Proficient with using various recruiting tools and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Good understanding of HR practices and labor legislation
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to understand new technologies quickly

Desirable Skills

  • Experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter
  • Computer whiz with ability to understand IT concepts
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
